Usage-based billing

Usage-based billing is a way of charging customers only for the actual consumption they have used of a particular service or product. Charges are calculated based on meters such as per GB, per computing minute, or the number of transactions. Usage-based products and services are typically billed at the end of the billing cycle or when committing or reserving a large volume of the service upfront to achieve improved pricing.
