AppXite Releases Integration with Autotask PSA, Delivering Truly Automated Invoicing for MSPs

AppXite is excited to announce the launch of its integration with Autotask PSA (by Datto/Kaseya), one of the most widely adopted professional services automation platforms in the managed services industry. This is AppXite's third PSA integration, following successful launches with HaloPSA and ConnectWise PSA, and it is available now to all AppXite partners.

For MSPs running their business on Autotask, billing reconciliation has long meant one thing: manual work. Pulling subscription data from one system, cross-referencing it against PSA contracts, and entering charges line by line - all before a single invoice goes out. The AppXite-Autotask integration eliminates that entirely.

What the Integration Does

Once connected, AppXite automatically delivers billing data from the AppXite platform into Autotask PSA via dedicated APIs on both sides - keeping customer organizations, contracts, services, and charges aligned without any manual re-entry. The platform remains the single source of truth for invoices; Autotask receives exactly what it needs to run billing from there.

Key capabilities include:

  • Organization sync: Customer organizations are automatically retrieved from Autotask and matched to their AppXite counterparts, creating a consistent customer base across both platforms.
  • Intelligent charge routing:  Recurring charge types (Cycle Fee, Purchase Fee) are posted to Autotask as Contract Service Adjustments, while non-recurring charges (Usage Fee, One Time Fee, Corrections, and more) land as Contract Charges - automatically, with no manual sorting required.
  • Auto-create recurring contracts: If a mapped organization has no existing contract in Autotask, the integration can create a Recurring Service Contract automatically during the sync. No manual setup needed before billing runs.
  • Granular sync control: Partners choose which organizations and individual invoice lines to include or exclude from synchronization. By default, organizations are excluded from sync until explicitly enabled - a deliberate safeguard against accidental billing.
  • Direct Autotask deep links: From the AppXite invoice view, partners can jump directly to the corresponding contract page in Autotask with a single click, cutting down navigation time significantly.
  • Dashboard, logs, and sync status: A real-time dashboard shows mapped organizations, products, and invoices synced over the last 30 days. Every invoice line carries a clear sync status - Synced, Pending, Failed, or Skipped - and the System Logs page captures detailed activity and errors for full auditability.

Why It Matters

Autotask PSA is the operational backbone for many MSPs - where contracts are managed, services are tracked, and invoicing happens. By connecting it directly to AppXite, subscription billing data flows automatically into the system where MSPs already work. Finance teams spend less time chasing data. Billing cycles that once required manual reconciliation are now complete with a single click. And as the MSP's customer base grows, the integration scales with it - without adding back-office complexity.

"AppXite acts as the glue connecting the systems where our partners live. With Autotask, we're continuing to close the gap between subscription commerce and PSA operations - so MSPs can focus on growing their business, not managing their tools," says Nicolas Albana, CEO of AppXite.

Getting Started

The Autotask PSA integration is set up in five steps: authenticate, configure, map organizations and products, sync invoices, and validate. Each step is covered in detail in the AppXite Knowledge Base.
