The Scope of an Onboarding Project
Analysis and preparation with a vendor
Vendor’s marketplace readiness check (covering different aspects of channel sales, like business, technical and service/offering readiness). Vendor’s offering analysis (which products/services are to be offered, add-ons, pricing and billing approach, subscription duration, etc.).
Create products in AppXite
Creating products based on product information provided by Vendor, product definition, setup, media, billing, add-ons, etc.
Quality Assurance (QA) of purchase flow
QA of the integration with a full test of all relevant workflows.
Documentation
Writing related documentation (User Guide, Test Suite).Vendor API analysis
Going through the API documentation – focus on the provisioning APIs. Using the test API account provided by Vendor to test the APIs (e.g., via Postman or some other API test toll), check the parameters etc.). Prepare mapping between AppXite built in variables and API parameters (prep work for defining the JSON workflow). Define API calls to be called, in which order and with which parameters.Creation of the integration workflow via JSON file
Create API sequence – workflow, a JSON file with relevant API call logic, input parameters and response parameters. Test typical provisioning scenarios (account creation, upsell/down-sell, cancelation, deletion, deactivate/activate). Based on issues found, update JSON file, retest and verify functionality.Single Sign-on (SSO)
